A retrospective study on comparison between preoperation and postoperation in maxillary sinus disease by A-Mode Ultrasonic Examination

Abstract
|

|
To assess the paranasal sinuses, diagnostic radiographys give us very limited information about postoperative state. Recently application of ultrasound for the evaluation of the maxillary or frontal sinus has been reported as a useful diagnostic tool, Which has its simplicity, reliability and non-ionizing modality.
We applied diagnostic A-Mode Ultrasound to 130 cases of maxillary operation before and after . in 8 weeks interval. We compared correlation between A-Mode ultrasound, Plain radiographys, op-
erativefinding, computed tomtography and analysed the obtained the results.
